Patrick Chang is Brazilian born Chinese or BBC, he spent his childhood in Brazil and in the U.S. In high school he began searching for the meaning of life and eventually came to know Christ at a youth retreat. After going on several mission trips while attending college at UT Austin, Patrick felt led to ministry after he saw the multitudes of people in China without Christ. After college, he worked for large companies as an IT consultant as well as a small business as an operations manager. Patrick has a ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary and he has been ministering to UTD students at Chase Oaks Church in Plano as a Student Director for the last two years.
Patrick is married to his lovely wife Shelley and they have three kids. Joshua, who is 5 years old, Abigail who is 3 years old, and Lydia who is almost 10 months.
Pastor Sunny Kao accepted Jesus as her personal savior in 1982 in Taiwan. She came to study at Dallas Baptist University and graduated on 1992. It was in 1990 at the “Life Is So Good” Student Camp she received the calling from the Lord to serve in full time ministry. In 1994, Pastor Sunny enrolled in Dallas Theological Seminary and majored in Christian Education with children ministry concentration. She served as a children minister in North Texas Chinese Church from 1995-2004. Then, she served at the China Sunday School Association as an editor and writer of children Sunday school curriculum for ages one to six and regularly conducted teacher training. In 2008, she was called to serve as a children’s pastor at Dallas Chinese Fellowship Church. Pastor Sunny completed her study and received “Doctor of Ministry” degree at Dallas Theological Seminary in 2014. She married Samuel Chia in 1994 and they have a son named Theophilus.
Harold came from Taiwan in 1979 as a graduate student. After receiving his degree in computer science, he worked in the software development and management field for nearly twenty years. He joined Dallas Chinese Fellowship Church in 1982, and was called by the Lord to full time ministry in 2000.
Sonny Chuah graduated from Texas Tech University and has worked in the computer department for 12 years. During that time, he attended Dallas Theological Seminary and graduated in 1999. He has been a member of DCFC since 1987 and was baptized, married, and ordained here. Serving full-time since 2001, he is in charge of Evangelism Explosion and Caring. Together with Maggie, they have 2 sons and a daughter.

Nelson Lin has been the English pastor of DCFC since August of 1991. He is a graduate of Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana. Originally from the Midwest, he and his wife Margaret have four children: Caleb, James, Jonathan and Rebecca. Caleb and James are in college, Jonathan is in high school and Rebecca is in a special needs school in Plano, TX.
